While public transportation in the Albany area is extensive, there have been considerations for installation of a light rail train. This proposal combines a train station for the rail connecting Troy to Albany and a center performance, musical, and visual arts. The transportation hub on the first floor can accommodate train and bus passengers, and the upper floors has space for various types of artistic exhibition areas, including a gallery and a multi-level theater. There is an atrium that connects floors 2-6 to create a greater sense of vertical connection. The part of the building resembling a cube has a mechanically operable facade, which is designed to respond to the direction that the sun comes from for optimal shading at any part of the day. Panels that cover areas with glazing are able to rotate on a diagonal axis to create a blooming effect.
